Metal building and barn insulation in East Texas

Closed cell spray foam that keeps shops and barns cooler and stops metal roofs from sweating in East Texas humidity.

Inside an insulated metal shop building

A shop that stays dry and usable year round

Bare metal and East Texas humidity do not get along. On a cool night or a damp morning, the steel roof drops below the dew point of the muggy air inside, and water beads up and drips onto tools, trucks, hay and anything else under it. In summer the same roof turns the building into an oven.

Closed cell spray foam handles both. It bonds directly to the metal, so humid air never touches the cold surface, and it adds a lot of insulation in a thin layer. It also seals seams and screw holes where dust, pollen and wasps find their way in, and it stiffens the panels.

We insulate shops, pole barns, equipment sheds, garages and barndominium shells on acreage around Tyler, Lindale, Bullard and Kilgore, plus light commercial metal buildings in town.

  • Closed cell spray foam on roof and wall panels
  • Condensation control by sealing the metal surface
  • Air sealing at seams, fasteners and gaps
  • Open cell options for finished, air conditioned spaces

Moisture is the main enemy of buildings around here. Read how humidity causes condensation problems to see how the same physics plays out in homes.

What metal building insulation costs

Closed cell foam is priced by the board foot, one square foot at one inch thick. The surface area of the roof and walls and the thickness you need set the total. Ceiling height, lift access and how much has to be covered inside also play a part.

Metal building questions

Will foam stop my shop roof from dripping?
  • Closed cell foam bonded to the metal is one of the most dependable ways to stop it.
How thick should it be?
  • It depends on use. A hay barn needs less than a shop you plan to heat and cool.
Can you work around equipment inside?
  • Yes. We cover what cannot be moved. An empty building goes faster and costs less.
Do you insulate barndominiums?
  • Yes. The living side usually gets a different design than the shop side, priced separately.
